Connecting Highlights and Match Events
If a Goal and Event Reporter does not log an event near the moment the highlight button was tapped, the clip will appear in the feed as a standalone highlight.
To keep your match feed accurate, unconnected highlights can be matched to events afterward.
This guide will show you how to connect a highlight to a match event — or link a match event to an existing highlight.
Manually Connecting a Highlight to a Match Event
1. Tap the Three Dots Menu Button
Tap the three dots menu button on the highlight you want to connect to a match event.
2. Tap "Connect to Event"
Select Connect to Event from the menu.
3. Select the Match Event You Want to Connect To
The highlight you are connecting appears at the top. The list of match events for the game appears below. Tap the event you want to link the highlight to.
4. Confirm Your Choice
Tap Connect to confirm the connection.
5. View the Connected Match Event and Highlight
When completed, the highlight and match event now appear as a linked card in the match feed.
Manually Connecting a Match Event to a Highlight
Connect a match event to a highlight manually when it was not automatically linked. Match events appear in the match feed after a goal, chance, etc. has been reported.
1. Tap the Connect Highlight Button
The Connect Highlight button appears when a potential match exists between an event and a highlight.
2. Tap "Pick Existing"
- To select from the list of existing highlights.
- You can also tap Create New to make a highlight from the match replay, but that is not the scope of this guide.
3. Select the Highlight You Want to Connect
The match event appears at the top. Scroll through the available highlights and select the desired one from the list.
4. Confirm Your Choice
Connects the selected highlight to the match event and returns you to the match feed.
5. View the Connected Match Event and Highlight
The event and highlight now appear as a linked card in the match feed.
