Creating a Friendly Game - NorCal

You need to be a Team Admin or Team Reporter to use this feature.

Creating a Training Match, Friendly, or Tournament Game

This guide will show you how to create a game that has not come in automatically from the league management system.

Good to know: When you choose a specific team in the opponent club, a notification is sent to that team's staff to confirm the game. If you do not choose a specific team, a placeholder team will be created.

Navigate to the Games tab

Open the app and navigate to your team's home page. Tap the Following button in the bottom navigation and select your team from the list.

1. Tap the Games tab

From your team's home page, tap the Games tab in the top navigation to open the list of upcoming and past games.

2. Tap "Friendly Game or Cup?"

Tap the Friendly Game or Cup? button to start creating a new match.

Match settings

Choose the type of game and whether you are the home or away side. If you select Competition or Cup, you will also be prompted to select or create a competition.

3. Choose match settings

Select Training Match or Competition or Cup, then choose Home or Away.

Select opponent

Search for the opponent club by name. Once a club is selected, you can optionally narrow down to a specific team within that club.

4. Tap "Opponent Club"

Tap the Opponent Club row to open the club search screen.

5. Search for the opponent club

Enter the name of the opponent club in the search bar. Results appear as you type.

6. Select opponent club

Tap the correct club from the list of search results.

7–9. Select opponent team (Optional)

After choosing a club, a Team row appears. Tap it to search for and select a specific team within that club. Once selected, that team's staff will receive a notification to confirm the game. If you skip this step, a placeholder team is created.

Venue and time

Search for the arena by name and set the game date and time.

10. Select arena

Tap the Arena row to open the arena search screen.

11–12. Search and select arena

Type the arena name in the search bar and tap the correct venue from the results.

Confirm and view

Review the completed game details, then tap Save to publish the match. The game will immediately appear in your team's Games section.

13. Select date and time

Use the Date and Time fields to set when the game will be played.

14. Tap "Save"

Tap Save to confirm the match details and create the game.

15. View the training match

Your training match now appears in the Games section of your team's home page, ready for players and staff to see.
